Compliance
and
adherence
to
treatment
in
osteoporosis
is
often
low
in
clinical
settings.
Effective
disease
management
lies
in
the
hands
of
the
individual
patient,
who
must
take
responsibility
for
key
health
behaviours,
such
as
compliance
to
medicine,
physical
activity
use
of
tobacco,
alcohol
and
dietary
habits
related
to
bone
health.
This
working-group
is
designed
to
be
of
particular
interest
to
health
professionals
interested
in
challenges
related
to
issues
on
compliance
and
adherence
to
treatment.
The
session
will
include
oral
presentations
from
abstracts
selected
as
poster
presentations
for
the
main
meeting.
In
addition
to
the
talks,
there
will
be
short
discussions
of
some
of
the
issues
brought
up
and
why
they
are
significant
to
patients
as
well
as
professionals.
Attendance
at
this
session
is
free
of
charge
to
delegates
registered
